Description
The Guiboard is a MIDI controller/instrument designed to mimic the layout of notes on a fretboard in a mechanical keyboard format. It can be configured in isomorphic (EADGC), guitar (EADGB), violin (CDGAE), or banjo with a full length fifth string (DDGBD) tunings. The rightmost keys on the top two strings operate as octave switches or alternatively semitone switches, transposing the keyboard up or down. Instead of full keyboard tuners, per string semitone tuners are also available. It does not currently possess aftertouch or velocity sensitivity. Boards communicate via mini-USB and 1/8″ MIDI (adapter included). It can be operated with or without a computer. Simply use a standard 5V USB wall adapter for power (do not exceed 5V).
